Signed book: Memoires de Vidocq, Volumes I-IV. First edition. Paris: Tenon, Libraire-Editeur, 1828-1829. Hardcover bound in three-quarter morocco with marbled boards, 5.75 x 8.5. Signed on the colophon in ink by Vidocq inside the first three volumes, below printed a statement (translated): "I declare that the copies unsigned will be considered forged." Interestingly, the same page in the fourth volume has been left unsigned. Autographic condition: very good, with significant fading to all three signatures. Book condition: VG/None.
