Exquisite collection of five Christmas cards from the Johnson White House, including the exceedingly rare 1963 Christmas card. The simple, somber 1963 card is printed on cream-colored stock and features an embossed presidential seal on the front, red stripe below, and is printed inside: "The President and Mrs. Johnson with you a Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year." Very few of these cards were produced (estimated at 50-75) for the incoming President Johnson, who had just assumed office after the tragic assassination of JFK; it is considered to be among the rarest and most sought-after of all White House Christmas cards. Also includes a 1963 card sending thanks for holiday greetings, along with the official Christmas cards from 1964, 1965, 1967, and 1968. In fine condition, with a checkmark written inside the 1963 card.
