Seven books signed by the provocative photographer Charles Gatewood, highlighted by a rare limited edition softcover copy of the book "X-1000," published by R. Mutt Press in 1977, numbered 351/1000, signed on the colophon by photographer Charles Gatewood, writer Marco Vassi, and tattooist Spider Webb. Also signed and inscribed on the first free end page in black felt tip, "Dear Susan, As far as I know, you are now looking at the only copy of X west of the Hudson. I am venturing west myself soon in an old automobile on a coast-to-coast extravaganza which includes you. xxx, Charles Gatewood." The book chronicles Spider Webb's project to tattoo one X on 1,000 people, and 1,000 X's onto a single person.
