Jay Cooke & Company bank check, 8 x 3, filled out in another hand and signed by Cooke, "Jay Cooke & Co.," payable to "Ourselves" for $200,000 (which equates to over $4 million now!), April 29, 1873. Five months later the company would collapse at the onset of the Panic of 1873. In fine condition. Accompanied by an 1866 Jay Cooke & Co. Bankers check, filled out and signed by writer and anti-suffragist Madeleine Vinton Dahlgren, "M .V. Dahlgren."
