So for your contribution to what was surely the finest of birthday celebrations, my grateful appreciation"; a birthday card sent by Mamie to Mrs. Howard McCrum Snyder, signed and inscribed inside as first lady, "Dear Alice, xoxo, Mamie Eisenhower, March 19, 1957"; and a limited edition birthday plate created by Castleton China for Dwight D. Eisenhower's first birthday in the White House on October 14, 1953, as produced for sale to the general public in limited numbers, with a square-shaped backstamp. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelopes for the letters, and the original box for the plate.
