Grant and Vice President Schuyler Colfax at the Treasury Building on March 4, 1869, 10 x 7, issued to the widow of a former Supreme Court justice, "Mrs. Levi Woodbury & Daughter." The invitation names the members of the general committee, including Civil War heroes William T. Sherman, Alexander S. Webb, and David D. Porter. In very good condition, with a stain to the right edge.
