Civil War-dated Bank of Commerce check, 6.75 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Butler, "Benj. F. Butler," payable to self for $2,000, September 26, 1862. In fine condition. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder. An interesting piece from Butler's time as military governor of New Orleans.
