Desirable circa 1960s hand-painted vice-presidential seal designed for use on the vice president's podium during speeches. The seal measures approximately 11.75″ in diameter and features the traditional patriotic bald eagle in high relief, holding an olive branch and arrow in its talons, encircled by 13 raised blue stars. The rim is painted in gold and navy blue, with raised white lettering, “Vice President of the United States.” In fine condition, with light edge wear. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the current owner, who acquired it directly from the daughters of Spiro T. Agnew.
