Heavyweight boxer (1931-1972) known for his defensive game and punching ability, who was knocked out by Muhammad Ali in the 1967 heavyweight title bout; he died at age 41 under mysterious circumstances after suffering severe head injuries in a hotel swimming pool. Three signed items: two vintage fountain pen signatures, "Best wishes, Zora Folley," on individual off-white 5 x 3 cards; and a vintage glossy 3 x 4.5 photo of Folley displayed in a 5.5 x 7.75 mat, signed on the mat in fountain pen, "Zora Folley," with a typed caption on the reverse: "Zora Folley of Chandler, Arizona poses for our camera at his training camp in Mesa as he prepares for a title match with Champion Cassius Clay - 2/25/67." Includes three vintage glossy 3.5 x 5 candids of Folley during training. In overall fine condition.
