Leader of Cuba (1901-1973) who was in office from 1940 to 1944 and from 1952 to 1959, at which time he was overthrown by Fidel Castro. Two items: a vintage matte-finish 4.25 x 6.25 portrait of Fulgencio Batista, signed and inscribed at the bottom in fountain pen; and a partial DS as president of Cuba, two pages, 8.5 x 13, October 20, 1955, signed at the conclusion by Batista and two government ministers. In very good to fine condition, with light creasing to the photo, and tiny binding holes to the document's left edge.
