(American International, 1958) Original color 14 x 36 insert movie poster for the American International release of the 1958 horror film The Screaming Skull. Directed by Alex Nicol, who co-stars alongside John Hudson, Peggy Webber, and Russ Conway, the film's storyline concerns a neurotic newlywed woman who believes she is being haunted by the ghost of her new husband's previous wife. This terrifically designed poster shows a large skull with bloody mouth looming over a horrified woman with white text to left side reading: "The tortured ghost who claimed vengeance in the bride's bedroom." Upper carnival-style caption box reads, "Free!! We guarantee to bury you without charge if you die of fright during Screaming Skull!" and lower orange box reading: "Warning! …This ghost will haunt you forever!" Lower border bears an NSS caption line and is numbered "58/355." In very good condition, with overall creasing and rippling, and dampstaining to the bottom.
