Description

Group of prints and signs from Old Tucson Studios, some of which were acquired by Robert Shelton from other production houses, including: an antique print by Kurz & Allison of Chicago showing "Col. Theodore Roosevelt, U.S.V." leading his cavalry on horseback, framed to an overall size of 23.5 x 29.5, marked on the reverse, "20th C-Fox, 32-2-18497"; an antique color 15.5 x 18 metal print with curled edges advertising "Capitol's Non-Tox" beverage, made in Denver, Colorado, marked "CBS" on the reverse; an antique-style color poster print of an advertisement for "Scotch Oil," framed to an overall size of 19 x 28.75; a 20 x 24 print of a charcoal drawing of John Wayne done by Gary Saderup in 1988, with the artist's signature inherent to the image; and a 28.5 x 17.5 print of a set design drawing for the 1973 TV movie The Boomtown Band & Cattle Company, showing a horse-drawn wagon passing through wild terrain, clipped to a 30 x 20 mount which is annotated in felt tip, "Exterior Bozeman Trail." In overall very good to fine condition, with scattered surface scuffs and scratches, and a repaired diagonal tear to the right edge of the Boomtown Band & Cattle Company print.
