Two original World War II posters featuring statements from the American presidents: a black-and-white 28 x 40 Office of War Information poster (No. 13) published in 1942 by the US Government Printing Office (1942-O-491103), featuring a quote about production from one of FDR’s fireside chats, with his facsimile signature at the bottom; and a dark blue-and-white 18.25 x 25.75 poster published in 1945 by the US Government Printing Office (1945-O-654012), featuring “A Message About Food from the President of the United States,” bearing Harry S. Truman’s facsimile signature at the bottom. In overall very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds to both (as issued), and several significant chips and edge tears to the FDR poster (one tear repaired with archival tape on the reverse).
