The front depicts the World Cup trophy in relief; and the reverse features the raised text: “Participant Final Competition, 2002 FIFA World Cup, Korea Japan.” South Korea and Japan were selected as hosts for the first (and so far only) World Cup to be hosted by two countries. Brazil won the tournament for a record fifth time by beating Germany 2-0 in the final.
