Elvis Presley's personally-owned vintage pink-and-brown striped jacket, featuring a "Kenferry" label on the inner pocket and an "Aitken & Niven, 79 George Street, Edinburgh," retailer's label sewn inside the collar. The jacket features three brown buttons for closure, as well as three large pockets on the front. In fine condition, with a partial split to the inner seam of the right arm. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Chris Davidson of the world famous Elvis-A-Rama Museum, in part: "This maroon and olive striped jacket belonged to Elvis Presley and was obtained from Hobart and Bonnie Burnett in 1999. During the early 60s, Vernon Presley purchased a home at 1266 Dolan Dr. which is adjacent to Graceland…Elvis had a gate installed so that he could walk from his backyard directly into his father's house. After Elvis' divorce in 1973, Elvis spent more time over there to occasionally escape Graceland and its inhabitants…After Elvis' death, Vernon moved into Graceland and sold the Dolan home and all of its contents to Hobart and Bonnie Burnette who owned the Hickory Log Restaurant across the street from Graceland. The Burnettes delivered food up to the house for the Memphis Mafia and, on occasion, Elvis and/or Vernon. I purchased many personal items of Elvis' and Vernon's from the Burnettes in the summer of 1999. Included in the purchase were many items including Elvis' acetates, pajamas and other clothing, badges, shoes, and even some furniture. This item was purchased from the Burnettes and were on display at the world famous Elvis-A-Rama Museum from 1999-2006." A wonderful piece of Elvis's personal wardrobe that represents his famously flashy style.
