Group of tour materials dating from Prince’s 1999 Tour in 1983 through the Lovesexy World Tour in 1988:
Collection of five 'crack and peel' stick-on backstage passes for Prince's classic 1980s tours: a union crew pass for Prince's "1999 Tour" in 1983, marked in black felt tip with the date, "4/10," Chicago location ("Chi"), and "Limo"; a guest pass for Prince's "Purple Rain Tour," stamped with a date of November 7, 1984; a blue pass for Prince's "Lovesexy '88" Tour, stamped "Party" and marked with the date of September 3, 1988; a white pass for Prince's "Lovesexy '88" Tour, stamped "Party" and marked with the date of September 8, 1988; and a pink pass for Prince's "Lovesexy '88" Tour, stamped "Hospitality" and marked with the date of September 8, 1988. In overall fine condition, with all retaining their backing papers.
Two full, unused tickets for international shows during Prince's 1988 Lovesexy Tour: a yellow 5 x 3 ticket for Valle Hovin Stadion in Oslo, Norway, on August 14, 1988; and a white 6.5 x 3.25 ticket for Feijenoord Stadion in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, on August 17, 1988. In overall fine condition.
Collection of ten original photocopied daily memo sheets from the Purple Rain and Lovesexy tours, consisting of five from each tour. The five from Purple Rain all date to December 1984, and include stops in Cleveland, Chicago, Buffalo, and Prince’s hometown holiday shows in Minneapolis/St. Paul. The Lovesexy memos are from July-August, 1988, and include stops in Paris, London, Oslo, Hamburg, and Milan. In overall fine condition, with handwritten notations and folds to a few pages. These daily memos were distributed nightly under each band and crew member’s hotel room door. The information includes rooming lists, venue and concert specifics, and travel plans. Note that Prince, Sheila E., and some of the other band members are registered in the hotels under pseudonyms.
