Legendary football halfback (1903-1991) nicknamed 'The Galloping Ghost.' Two items: a hardcover first edition of Zuppke of Illinois, published by A. L. Glaser in 1937, signed and inscribed on the first free end page in fountain pen, "Sincerely, 'Red' Grange"; and a glossy 8 x 9.75 photo of Grange, signed and inscribed later in black felt tip, "Best Wishes to Ira, from 'Red' Grange." In overall fine condition, with some light wear to exterior of the book, a slightly loosened front hinge, and expected yellowing to textblock; and a trimmed bottom edge to the photo.
