Prince's lucite glitter wand, measuring 11.75″ long, filled with blue glitter and a dense liquid. Includes a small handwritten card by Susannah Melvoin, in part: "Please give this to Prince…2 Box's one has a cane with glitter in it the other is the holder!" In fine condition. From the collection of singer-songwriter Susannah Melvoin, an extended member of the Revolution during the Parade era, who shared a longterm working musical relationship with and was engaged to Prince during the 80s. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Susannah Melvoin. Prince and Susannah, who were newly engaged, purchased this wand while in Nice during the filming of Under the Cherry Moon. His personal assistant had them delivered to Minneapolis where they were redesigned to appear and behave like the famous ‘glitter canes’ Prince often carried around the grounds and offices of Paisley Park Studios.
