Incredibly rare 4.25 x 6.25 postmortem cabinet portrait of Jesse James, originally taken by photographer Rudolph Uhlman at McFadden's St. Joseph mortuary in 1882. In very good condition, with moderate soiling and light staining to front and back, four old small pieces of clear tape on the reverse, and a crease to the upper left not affecting James's somewhat faded image. Death photos of Jesse James remain extremely rare and highly sought-after by collectors.
