Bank check, 7.75 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Harrison, "Benj. Harrison," made payable for $156.75, November 1, 1877. Encapsulated in a plastic PSA/DNA authentication holder. In fine condition, with light show-through from two strips of tape on the reverse. Also includes three Republican tickets for the 1888 and 1892 presidential elections, including: one from Illinois for 1888, listing candidates for president and vice president as Benjamin Harrison and Levi P. Morton; one from Georgia for 1888 depicting the American flag, also listing Harrison and Morton as the Republican candidates; and one from Virginia for 1892, listing Harrison as the presidential candidate and Whitelaw Reid as the vice presidential candidate. Harrison decided to drop then-Vice President Levi P. Morton from the ticket for his 1892 reelection campaign and replace him with Reid; they lost to the Democratic ticket of Grover Cleveland and Adlai Stevenson, which made Cleveland become the first-and-only former president to recapture the office.
