Collection of items related to the production of the Prince-directed film Under the Cherry Moon, including: a maroon 9 x 2.5 Cherry Moon Productions plate removed from the office door at the Victorine Studios in Nice, France; a set of five copied sketches for a cushioned headboard used for Mary's bedroom, with stapled swatch of ivory satin and a color glossy 5 x 4 candid photo of the finished headboard on set; a final copied sketch of the drapes and background design used for the 'girls and boys' scene in the restaurant, with silver and zebra-pattern swatches of fabric and a glossy 5.5 x 8.5 photo of the finished scene; a final sample of Prince's character's calling card at the Venus de Milo Piano Bar, as well as two preliminary example copies; an off-white 8.25 x 11.5 sheet of Under the Cherry Moon production letterhead; and a black-and-white decal sticker with the Under the Cherry Moon logo. In overall very good to fine condition. From the collection of Prince’s Parisian assistant Sophie Roux, who notes that Prince loved the headboard and had it shipped to Minneapolis, where he used it in the guest room of his house on Galpin Blvd. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Sophie Roux.
