Wonderful gold-colored Grateful Dead Fan Club handbill designed by Stanley Mouse, 8 x 10.5, headed “The Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion,” with a photo collage of the band in center and Chinese symbols on either side. The lower portion features an unused mailing section, with $1 membership fee granting access to “Pictures, Interviews, Bumper Stickers, Secrets, Buttons, Bios on Each Dead, Discount on Pig Pen T-Shirts, Personal Answers to Fan Letters.” In fine condition. ‘The Golden Road (To Unlimited Devotion)’ is the opening track from the band’s self-titled 1967 debut album. Images of Garcia on Grateful Dead handbills are very rare, making this a particularly sought-after example.
