Five items: a war-dated ALS from John A. Dix, July 9, 1861; a war-dated ALS from Henry W. Benham, dated August 3, 1861; an ink signature of Simon Bolivar Buckner on an off-white 5.25 x 1 lightly-lined slip clipped from the conclusion of a letter; an ALS from Philip H. Sheridan, dated April 12, 1882, written to General Strong requesting “the proposal made” be sent to Mrs. Sheridan; and a war-dated LS from Winfield Scott, dated October 30, 1861, with Scott adding, “& worthy of esteem & confidence.” In overall very good to fine condition.
