Collection of eight early charts and posters related to the moon and Mars, ranging in size from 22 x 17 to 36 x 29, including: a first edition “Mars Chart,” 1:25,000,000 scale, August 1970; a third edition “USAF Lunar Reference Mosaic” chart (LEM-1A, Lunar Earthside Hemisphere), 1:10,000,000 scale, July 1967; a NASA Manned Spacecraft Center topographical chart of the lunar terrain; a color “Lunar Chart Index” chart (LAC Index No. 1), 1:1,000,000 scale; a first edition “Lunar Earthside Chart” (LEC-1, Provisional), 1:5,000,000 scale, July 1968; a chart for the moon’s “The Aristarchus-Herodotus Region,” 1:250,000 scale; and two Sky Publishing posters of the “Map of the Moon,” originally drawn by T. Gwyn Elgar, both new revised 1958 editions (George Philip & Son). In overall very good to fine condition, with scattered creasing and some soiling; punch holes to left border of the ‘Lunar Chart Index'; and a large tear to bottom of one 'Map of the Moon' poster.
