Attractive badge for the NYC Celebration Committee organized to welcome home athletes after the Paris 1924 Summer Olympics. The medal measures 30 mm x 50 mm, and is suspended from a “Committee” pin with a red, white, and blue ribbon. The front features a victorious athlete encircled by the inscription, “On behalf of the City of New York to the victorious American athletes on their return from the Olympic Games at Paris, France. Presented by Hon. John F. Hylan, Mayor.” Reverse bears a Dieges & Clust maker’s mark.
