Printed House of Representatives report, eight pages, 5.75 x 9, June 22, 1874. A report submitted by the Committee on War-Claims concerning “the petition of Richard H. Garrett for compensation for barn and other property burned at Caroline County, Virginia, in capturing J. Wilkes Booth and D. C. Harold [sic], two of the assassins of President Lincoln, in April 1865.” In fine condition, with binding remnants to the left edge.
