Collection of six items: first, a training checklist used in Lunar Module Simulator 2, labeled at the top, “S-Band Antenna Angles, Descent REFSMMAT,” 2.25 x 7.5, consisting of a data table with many antenna angles listed. Bottom is labeled, “Apollo 15 Data, 9/14/71,” and reverse bears two pieces of Velcro. Moderate scattered toning to top, otherwise fine condition. Third, an official glossy 10 x 8 NASA photo of the launch of Apollo 15, signed in black felt tip by Dave Scott. In fine condition. Fourth, a graphite pencil “X” made with a flown silver pencil carried on board the Apollo 15 mission. Mark is made on a 5.75 x 3.75 card, which reads, in part: “The affixed letter X…was made with a Silver Pencil (Serial Number SEB 12100081-301 S/N 1019) utilizing the original graphite that was carried on board the Apollo 15 mission.” Card has been professionally protectively laminated. Accompanied by a photocopied letter of authenticity from Jim Irwin stating the pencil was carried to the moon. In fine condition. Fifth, two color satin-finish 4 x 4 photos of the lunar surface, matted together to an overall size of 16 x 20, signed on the mat in black felt tip by Al Worden. Reverse of photos bear stamps that read, “NASA authenticated by,” and are signed in black felt tip by Worden, with one signed twice. In fine condition. Provenance: Superior Auction, Fall 1998. And sixth, a color glossy 8 x 5 photo of the lunar surface, matted to an overall size of 11 x 14, signed on the mat in black felt tip by Worden.
