Stage-used Ramones set list from a 1982 concert in Hampton, New Hampshire, handwritten in black felt tip on the reverse of a brown 7.25 x 10.5 memo sheet from the Sheraton Inn. The set includes twenty-five songs and two encores, with the band playing an extra six songs in total; a single notation on the front, achieved in thicker felt tip, notes the song “R & Radio,” although spelled differently, for a second time. Also included is a separate Sheraton Inn memo sheet, with handwritten notations on the reverse, inaccurately citing the location as “Hampton Bays,” with mentions of “Pleasent [sic] Dreams,” the album the band was promoting, and “Drug Addicts” and “First McDonalds,” unknown themes that may have coincided with burgeoning commercial pressures and Dee Dee’s ongoing substance abuse. In overall very good condition, with wear and scattered creasing from use, and a tear to upper edge of the “Hampton Bays” sheet. Consignor notes that the set list was taped to Joey Ramone’s stage monitor and that the scattered dampstaining was caused by the vocalist’s excessive sweating; both sheets were obtained following the concert. Accompanied by three unsigned photos from the concert—two of Johnny Ramone rocking out, and another of Joey standing behind the aforementioned stage monitor. Comprised of a number of hit singles and crowd favorites, this incredibly rare handwritten Ramones set list—ordered by Johnny Ramone and written out by a crew member—carves out its own small space in the annals of New England punk rock history. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Chris Lamy, close friend of The Ramones and guitarist of The Jabbers, formerly GG Allin & The Jabbers. The Chris Lamy Collection.
