An artist from York Beach, Maine, Arthur K. Miller’s paintings are collected internationally and have graced the covers of many publications, with some having been featured in a one-man show at the National Baseball Hall of Fame for more than five years. In this series of banners, he utilized mixed media on raw canvas in a 'faux-antique' style developed to capture the essence of true pop cultural artifacts—the sort stowed away in attic trunks and farmhouse lofts in days gone by, lying in wait to be rediscovered today. Miller's banner paintings are scheduled for a San Francisco gallery exhibition scheduled for later this year.
