A small portion of a strand of Washington’s hair, approximately 1/8″, presented in a 24-karat gold gilded double frame affixed to an 8.5 x 11 presentation sheet with an image of Washington, a copy of the original note of provenance for the hair, and a statement from Charles Hamilton acknowledging that the hair was probably first owned by Martha Washington’s granddaughter; framed to an overall size of 15.25 x 18.25.
