First President of South Korea (1875–1965) from 1948 until his resignation in 1960. Fountain pen signature, “Syngman Rhee,” on an off-white 5 x 7 sheet of Kyung Mu Dai letterhead. Matted with an unsigned photo to an overall size of 11.75 x 8.25. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope and transmittal letter from his office, dated November 17, 1956.
