Eminent French sculptor (1834–1904) best known for designing the Statue of Liberty. ALS in French, signed “F. Bartholdi,” one page, 4.5 x 7, November 24, 1893. Bartholdi offers support for Senator Gornot, to join the ‘Marmite’ society. In part (translated): ”Mr Gornot senator and former minister of Agriculture, has already come to ‘La Marmite’ as a guest.
