ALS in French, signed “E. Ysaye,” four pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.25 x 7, La Chanterelle letterhead, August 19, 1907. Untranslated but apparently a letter of recommendation for Louis Persinger. In fine condition. Originates from the collection of American violinist and pianist Louis Persinger (1887–1966), who trained at the Leipzig Conservatory and later taught at Juilliard, mentoring the likes of Yehudi Menuhin, Ruggiero Ricci, and Isaac Stern.
