Internationally renowned Hungarian conductor (1855–1922). Matte-finish 3.25 x 5.25 real photo postcard of Nikisch in a handsome suit, signed and inscribed in black ink to Louis Persinger. Affixed at the top to a slightly larger mount. In fine condition, with a small tear to the edge of the mount. Originates from the collection of American violinist and pianist Louis Persinger (1887–1966), who trained at the Leipzig Conservatory and later taught at Juilliard, mentoring the likes of Yehudi Menuhin, Ruggiero Ricci, and Isaac Stern.
