Collection of 33 of Lamour’s personal scripts and revision pages from various films, shows, and plays, all originally obtained from Lamour’s estate. Titles include: Hello Dolly, Duffy’s Tavern, Can-Can, Roger the Sixth, Wonderful Town, Follies, Herman Place, South Pacific, 13 Daughters, Anything Goes, Without Consent, Lulu Belle, Funny Girl and her one woman show, with several duplicates included. Also included are several unsigned photos of Lamour recuperating from a broken leg during Roger the Sixth; unsigned production and candid photos from Fallen Angels and Du Barry was a Lady; song books; and various programs and promotional material. Some of the scripts with her handwritten notes are: Hello, Dolly (signed on the front orange cover), Lamour writes inside: “Keep Yo-Yu arms extended behind or beyond become weak esp. Dearie also hit cane on hand in front of you keep cane jabs sharp”; Can-Can, Lamour writes, “Exit 5—fairly quick change (& next enter 11)”; there are copious notes throughout most all of the Roger the Sixth scripts, including, “George: Well I’m married! Peter: No George, I’m not talking about you. I’m talking about other married men!”; Hello Dolly (green cover), she writes many notes, several of which identify her placement during lines, such as, “With Boys—”Flirting”—sit on boy’s knee (right)—most boys leave (one boy on each side of Dolly)”; Hello Dolly (green cover, signed on title page), she writes more placement notes, such as, “Pat his head, over his left shoulder, face him, follow him to broom, to front center”; Pal Joey, Lamour writes, “plenty of directional notes, including, “Turn away & put down bag, turn to him and put down furs; DuBarry Was a Lady, Lamour writes out the verses for “Ca, C’Est L’Amour,” “1st girl ‘When you get a hold of one, hang on to him...Don’t be coy Mama knows best...4th girl, You!
