White matte RIAA gold record sales award presented to John Carter “to commemorate the sale of more than one million dollars worth of the…long-playing record album ‘Bloodshot.’” Matted and framed with the plaque and a small reproduction of the album’s cover to an overall size of 17.5 x 21.5. The award retains its original backing and New York Frame & Picture Co. label. Also affixed to the reverse is a short note in an unknown hand, on Dee Anthony Organization stationery, which reads, “John—With many thanks. The J. Geils Band.” In fine condition, with a few tears to backing and a couple of dings to frame. RR Auction COA.
