Canadian-born physician and researcher (1849–1919) who was a founding professor of Johns Hopkins Hospital. TLS signed “W. Osler,” one page, 8.5 x 6, personal letterhead, February 25, 1908. Letter to “Watson,” requesting a paper about “a case of purpura with nephritis.” In very good condition, with partial separations to vertical mailing folds, and typed text extremely faded (most words remaining barely legible); signature is strong and bold.
