French author (1844–1924) who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1921. Collection of 14 postcards from his travels in France and Europe, including Greece, some with brief notes in French, postmarked between 1903 and 1911. Seven bear notes or sentiments to the reverse, signed “Anatole France”; four are signed on the image in black ink, “Anatole France”; and three are signed with just his initials, “A. F.” In overall very good condition, with a heavy crease to one postcard and various scattered creases and soiling.
