In full: “The Sangamon cannot use her guns as yet. Her steam power is available. The 15 inch gun requires probably but a days work to make it useful—the XI—Eleven inch several days, as the porthole is not large enough to admit the gun.” In very good condition, with some chipping to bottom edge and show-through at the bottom from small tape-repaired tears.
