Massenet”: ALS, April 16, 1882, to a fellow composer. “I regret that the orchestral score of the Prelude to the 3rd Act of Herodiade hasn’t appeared yet—it won’t be long now and I will consider it an honor to send it to you immediately. Please accept my expression of collegiality”; and an ALS, October 21, 1902, “How very nice of you and your mother to remember your faithful friend. -- O those days in Milan, Parma, and Paris!” In fine condition, with some mild toning.
