Confederate brigadier general who later served as a congressman from Alabama (1841–1922). Vintage matte-finish 4 x 6 portrait of Harrison by Paul Thompson, signed on the reverse in black ink, “Yours very truly, Geo. P. Harrison, Opelika Ala.” In very good condition, with ink stamps and notations, mounting remnants, and light scattered soiling to reverse, and moderate silvering to dark areas of the image.
