Gripping original 1860s albumen 4 x 2.25 carte-de-visite showing the execution of the Lincoln conspirators on July 7, 1865, by Alexander Gardner, published by Philp & Solomons. The reverse has the Gardner photographer's stamp and a period two cent tax stamp. The photo shows general aging and wear, including light staining on back, toning and edge wear. Presents nicely.
