Prominent Austrian politician and diplomat (1773–1859). Manuscript LS, in French, signed “Metternich,” one page, 8.25 x 13, June 20, 1858. An official letter sent to Vice Admiral Sir Charles Napier (1786-1860) probably the navy officer most widely known to the public in the early Victorian Era. Metternich sends an art album with reproductions of the paintings presented at the Vienna Opera. Intersecting folds and scattered light toning, soiling, and creasing, otherwise fine condition.
