Eminent American horticulturist and researcher (1849–1926) credited with developing hundreds of plant varieties and hybrids, including the spineless cactus, the Shasta daisy, and the Burbank potato. Vintage matte-finish 4.75 x 6 photo, affixed to its original 7 x 9 mount, signed on the mount in black ink, “Faithfully yours, Luther Burbank.” In good condition, with moderate silvering to darker areas of image, several areas of staining to mount and top of image, and a few stray ink marks and soiling to mount.
