Spanish statesman (1832–1916) who also excelled in civil engineering, mathematics, and was one of the leading dramatists at the end of the 19th century. Echegaray was the first Spaniard to receive the Nobel Prize in 1904. Color 5.5 x 3.75 postcard featuring an image of the Palacio Real in Madrid, signed with a Spanish sentiment, “Jose Echegaray.” Addressed on reverse in another hand.
