In part: “I rec’d the music but I’ve been on the road doing concerts…Please don’t think I don’t appreciate what you’ve done for me. I will send it to the Big bands that I know, both white & Negroes…Like Geo. M. Cohen used to say My mother thanks you. My father thanks you. My sister thanks you. And I thank you.” Blake also adds a short postscript signed “E. B.” In fine condition, with a red pencil notation to top. Blake’s closing quote is taken from Cohen’s Yankee Doodle Dandy.
