Congressman, former New York governor, and the sixth vice president of the United States (1774–1825). Ink signature, “Daniel D. Tompkins,” on an off-white 7 x 2 clipped slip, affixed to a 7.75 x 4.5 slip. In very good condition, with central horizontal crease, a few small spots of toning, show-through from adhesive on the reverse, and a small tear to the middle, only lightly affecting the signature.
