Famed gunmaker Mauser assigns his patents to America

German weapon designer and manufacturer (1838–1914). DS, five pages, 8.25 x 13, January 10, 1905. Indenture agreement between Mauser and his company Waffenfabrik Mauser, and Justus Von Lengerke and Ernst Detmold, assigning 16 patents for his firearms including “Lock Mechanism for Guns,” “Shell–Extractor for Bolt Guns,” and “Fixed magazine for Breech–Loading Bolt Guns,” to Lengerke and Detmold, in exchange for one dollar. Signed twice on the fourth page by Mauser, once as “Paul Mauser,” and again as “P. Mauser.” A receipt from the Commissioner of patents is at the front of the document, which retains its red seal and blue ribbon. In very good condition, with expected folds, some small notations and stamps, punch hole to top left, and uniform light toning. RRAuction COA.
