Ellsworth,” one page, 8 x 6.5, January 12, 1778. In full: “Pay Linus Abner Smith Fifteen pounds three shillings & four pence lawful money & charge the state.” Tape stains to the top and bottom edges, a portion of the lower right corner torn off, and another signature somewhat overlapping Ellsworth’s, otherwise very good condition.
