Russian-born French artist and designer (1892–1990) who was one of the leading figures of the Art Deco movement. ALS, one page, 8.25 x 11.75, personal letterhead, March 25, 1982. Letter to Mr. Lee. In full: “I categorically object to the use of the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ as a cover for the book. I should love to have as cover ‘The Bride.’” In fine condition, with some scattered edge toning and creasing. RRAuction COA.
